Come for the beaches
Come for the sunsets
Come to
We are located near Zancudo Point. The Point is where the Pacific beach on the Golfo Dulce and the Río Coto Colorado meet. The Rio Coto Colorado connects Zancudo to the port town of Golfito with a twenty minute boat ride. The Río Coto gives this local fishing village of less than 500 people with access to the southern Pacific for world class fishing. Boat Taxi's run daily to Golfito for shopping, banking or take a taxi or bus trip to the border town of Pasa Canos on the Panama border. Perhaps you will take a visit to nearby Pavones, one of the most famous left surfing breaks in the world. They have a good pizza restaurant, Sarah's favorite place for sandwiches, and the famous cantina on the beach where everyone goes for beer and boca; boca is the mouth, also means snacks! Taxi services must be booked in advance. Pavones trip is $75.00 for half day for four people and $100.00 for the day.

Although Playa Zancudo is rustic and rural, you will be delighted that you can walk everywhere and the village is united, house after house, business after business and restaurant after restaurant. Zancudo has two Italian and several American restaurants, one very well stocked grocery store, city water, street lights, telephones, Direct TV and internet. Reserve a horse back tour to travel the unbeaten paths back to nature. You will see farm animals, animals of the rain forest, the monkeys and iguanas, the exotic birds.

Guest quarters at Playa Zancudo Bed and Breakfast feature two bedrooms separated by large bath with hot water, direct TV, split air conditioning systems in each bedroom.
